This October 2nd is LIVESTRONG Day, the day chosen by the Lance Armstrong Foundation to increase awareness of the fight against cancer. October 2nd marks the anniversary of the day Lance Armstrong was diagnosed with cancer. The Max Foundation shares a similar mission as LIVESTRONG and we are proud to work side by side to bring awareness of the needs of people diagnosed with cancer around the world.
October 2nd is also the birthday of a very close friend of The Max Foundation. Well known among our team for drinking Tabasco sauce at our annual picnic’s talent show at the age of 10, he has grown into a no drama, no nonsense, kind of teenager. So when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma two months ago, he faced the diagnosis with the same Tabasco drinking, no drama attitude. His family and friends had no choice than to follow his lead, and with friends and neighbors rallying around him. Aidan is in the midst of his own war against cancer, a war he intends to win.
Aidan is turning 16 this Sunday, LIVESTRONG day. Today we honor his courage and say “Happy Birthday, Aidan. LIVE STRONG!”
