Nelia Medina, our MaxStation based in Manila is our Guest Blogger today, reporting on an exciting blood drive in the Philippines.
Around 600 men and women in uniform of the Philippine Air Force participated in this year’s blood drive. The event was held on April 30th at the Philippine Air Force Gymnasium and coincided with their 65th anniversary celebration.
The blood drive event was jointly organized by the Philippine Air Force, Philippine Red Cross, Philippine General Hospital and Touched by Max. The month-long preparation was very successful with more than 300 bags of blood collected! A local newspaper and a TV/radio network were invited to cover the event. Luckily, I was one of the chosen few who was interviewed to explain our advocacy efforts.
This is the first time we have partnered with the Air Force. We were assured that we will be one of their partners from now on!
For this event, our photos tell the whole story! Please flip through the Photo Gallery so you can picture the entire scene.
Thanks to each of our partners who made this event a success!
