Friends around the world, as of today there are over 4,000 support messages and signatures to the World Cancer Declaration on our Maximize Life Tribute Wall!
What does this wall of support mean? Each one of these tributes is a message written from the heart. Each signature represents an action taken to make sure that officials around the world know that we must work together as a global community to control cancer. And yet, these messages and signatures are so much more than just words on a page.
For each of us affected by cancer, waking up each morning, this wall of support is a powerful reminder that we are not alone. In fact, we can begin our days by imagining a stadium full of 4,000 people clapping and cheering loudly for us in everything we do. All 4,000 people appreciating the courage it takes to live with cancer. All 4,000 people standing by our side as we rise above a diagnosis.
Personal messages have come from 67 different countries: From Azerbaijan to Myanmar from Japan to Jamaica and from Lesotho to Nicaragua. What an incredible feeling to know that each person paused for a moment in their day—whether at a shopping mall, a library or survivor event—to send their encouragement to cancer survivors and people affected by it, no matter where we live.
If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to visit the Maximize Life Tribute Wall to feel the love!!! And don’t forget to help us make our voices even louder by asking your friends and family to sign with us today.
