Dear patient advocate leaders,
Today marks an exciting milestone in the "What is MY PCR?" campaign-- the soft launch of the "What is MY PCR?" website!
"What is MY PCR?" is a patient driven initiative led by a coalition of CML-focused organizations who are Campaign Partners in raising awareness about the importance of CML treatment monitoring. This is your campaign! Every group around the world is invited to become a Partner and join the coalition. As well, any group is welcome to use the campaign materials as a way to encourage discussion around the benefits of PCR. In addition to joining the campaign through the "What is MY PCR?" website, it will also be possible to order FREE "What is MY PCR?" buttons in many languages, available on a first come first served basis, and request copies of the FAQ.
As background, please know that the concept of the "What is MY PCR?" campaign originated at the 2012 annual meeting of CML patient leaders from Asia Pacific, "Rising Sun". Advocates agreed that a key issue in the region is access to monitoring. Additionally, the group identified cultural barriers preventing patients from becoming full partners in their treatment. The "What is MY PCR?" campaign is a direct result of the discussions during Rising Sun and is meant to address those two issues. The campaign is being organized and coordinated by The MAX Foundation to serve the global community of patient organizations. It has been developed with the broader CML community in mind, in hopes that every group around the world who shares the challenges outlined here will be able to advance their cause.
The www.whatismypcr.org is your website! Feel free to suggest improvements to the website as well as other key resources related to monitoring for CML.

We look forward to hearing from you!
