This coming Saturday October 27th, Dr Jorge Cortes will give a live patient education presentation in Buenos Aires, Argentina, organized by The MAX Foundation under the auspices of LALNET, the Latin American Leukemia Net. The talk will be broadcast online live and patients, some of them accompanied by their doctors, throughout Latin America will join to listen to the session. They will also have the ability to interact and ask questions through a chatbox mechanism.
In an unprecedented attempt to reach patients throughout the region, 32 cities in Latin America will be holding simultaneous patient meetings and will log in to Dr. Cortes’ talk on Saturday. Caregivers, patients, and their physicians will listen and participate together, making this a cyber-event that could belong in the book of world records.
