Welcome to our blog spot! I am thrilled to introduce you to our new Maximize Life Blog and share our plans for this dynamic feature!
The Maximize Life Blog is inspired by you, about you, and for you. Each day, we hear stories through survivors, caregivers, friends and coworkers about people rising above a cancer diagnosis and living life to the fullest. We hear about people who are giving of themselves and giving back to their communities. The Maximize Life Blog is a way to share encouraging stories about friends around the world with friends around the world!
Looking forward, our blog will follow the 2010 Cancer Awareness Campaign, orchestrated in partnership with local patient associations in over 30 countries. Communities are mobilizing with more than 50 exciting events including: blood drives in Pakistan and the Philippines, a soccer match with an awareness march in Togo, a booth for collecting tributes in the main medical center in Azerbaijan, a “Running for Life” event in China and a community awareness program at a public hospital in Guatemala.
For a small taste of what’s to come, watch the Maximize Life video featuring images of moments from last year’s campaign.
To me maximizing life means doing my best at everything I do. Whether it is caring for my own family or caring for another family through our Helpline, I put all my energy into each moment. What does Maximize Life mean to you? Send us your definition. Or your personal example of how you or someone you love chooses to rise above cancer each day!
