“With Love in Every Stitch” is a program that creates an opportunity for friends of The Max Foundation within Edmonds and the US to make a difference from their own living room by knitting colorful hats that are delivered by our team members to children receiving chemotherapy treatment in Mexico, Russia, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, and beyond. What follows is a letter from Nataliya, one of our Program Officers who traveled recently to Uzbekistan and personally delivered hats to the children’s ward of the hospital.

The Max Foundation continues its partnership with advocates all across the globe in our collective fight against cancer. As World Cancer Day approaches on February 4th, as well as the World Cancer Congress in August, we want to remember that it takes the hard work of all of us together to improve the prevention and treatment of cancer. This map poster is a visual representation of what we have accomplished together and continue to work on.
With that in mind, The Max Foundation will be participating in UICC’s World Cancer Day and we invite you to join us! This is a yearly initiative that unites the global community in the fight against cancer. World Cancer Day 2012 has been themed ‘Together it is possible’ to emphasize the importance of each of us doing our part in the fight against cancer in order to achieve the goals set out by the World Cancer Declaration. Please visit the World Cancer Day website for more information. Click on 'Read More' to see how you can get involved in World Cancer Day and the World Cancer Congress.
